I was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1979. I studied Philosophy at University of São Paulo (USP), Painting and Drawing at the Escola Panamericana de Arte and Design, and got a bachelor degree in Social Communication at Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM).
After graduating, I worked in advertising, quickly moving to graphic design and freelance illustration. Recently I have been focusing on editorial illustration and visual arts, illustrating magazines, text books and children’s books, for well established Brazilian publishing houses and independent authors.
I studied watercolor and realist pictorial drawing and painting for over 8 years. I still show my paintings in small galleries and cafes, and take commissions for portraits.
In 2021, after keeping a well known food blog for 15 years, I published my first book as an author, followed by a short story collection in 2022, and a poetry book the following year. My work in Portuguese can be found in several anthologies, literary magazines and websites. I am famous for designing and illustrating my own books. My first children’s book, as author and illustrator, is coming out in 2025, in Brazil.
I moved to Canada with my family in 2017. I draw cartoons about my children since 2011. I am an ultra runner, an excellent cook and an avid reader of any genre. I am a Libra sun, Gemini rising, and I like to be surrounded with beauty and harmony.
